Beauty Tips from Kitchen

Check these few common ingredients from your kitchen that will help you achieve a healthy-looking and glowing skin.

Coffee

Apart from our favorite start of the day , coffee can also work wonders for your face and body. You can use coffee as exfoliating  scrub. Mix coffee grounds and sugar , then add natural oil of your choice: olive, grape seed, coconut, or almond. Massage onto your face in gentle, circular motions, then rinse with warm water. This scrub will help to eliminate dead skin and gives a glowing and youthful skin.

Gram Flour

It is commonly known as besan. My grandma always advised me to add besan in my beauty regime. You can add gram flour to face packs to remove tan and to cleanse and tighten the skin. Prepare a tan pack by mixing 4tsp besan with 1 tsp lemon juice and turmeric powder. Apply it on the face and wash it off  with cool water.

Lemon

It has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties which are beneficial for those who have acne and pimple-prone skin. You can add lemon to face packs or be directly applied on the face in order to get rid of discoloration. It can also help you to get rid of your blackheads with a simple mixture of lemon juice and honey.

Coconut Oil

Do you know that coconut oil has many benefits for skin too. You can use coconut oil as make up remover. Apply a teaspoon of coconut oil on your skin and leave it about for 1-2 minutes and wash it off with a cleanser. Regular application of this magical oil is known to render soft, luscious lips too. If you are worried for your dark circles ,then don’t worry . Dab a little coconut oil and massage into the eye area.

Honey

It has antibacterial properties that can keep acne and pimples at bay. It has anti-aging properties too. You can use honey for keeping your skin young. You can directly apply it on your face and neck. Leave it to dry and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Potato

You can use potato slices to cool tired eyes. It can also be rubbed on the skin to remove tan.

Turmeric Powder

Turmeric or haldi has skin lightening antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Mix turmeric powder along with lemon juice and apply it on the skin. Keep it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with normal water.

Ghee

You can use Clarified butter or ghee for curing your chapped lips. Apply ghee on your lips to get a smoothness  and shine.

Curd

Mix curd with honey to make a face pack. Apply this face pack on your cleansed face and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. It helps in skin lightening.

Papaya

Using a papaya face pack can make your skin supple and soft. Mix papaya with honey . Apply this pack to your face. Keep it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
