Nowadays, I am waking up with puffy eyes. This is really frustrating. Puffy eyes can make you look dull, tired, ill, sleepy and older too. The common causes of swelling of eyes are tiredness, stress, water retention, lack of sleep and bad diet. Here are some remedies to get rid of puffy eyes.

Hydrate

One of the easiest ways to get rid of puffy eyes is drink water. Drink as much as possible ladies! Keep your body well hydrated. Drink at least 8 glasses to 10 glasses of water each day. It also helps flush toxins out of the body.

Tea bags

Tea bags can help soothe your irritated and puffy eyes. Moisten two tea bags in cold water and refrigerate them for a while. Lie down and place the tea bags over your eyelids for 20-25 min and then wash your face and eyes with cold water.

Cucumber

You can use chilled cucumber to get rid of under eye puffiness. You need 2 fresh refrigerated cucumber slices and put it on your eyes for 10-15 minutes. It will refresh your eyes.

Coconut oil

Massage coconut oil around your eyes for a few minutes before going to bed. Regular application of this oil will help you reduce the under eye puffiness.

Aloevera gel

Aloe Vera gel is the inexpensive method to get rid of eye puffiness. It contains antioxidant properties. You will need fresh aloe Vera gel. Apply the gel under your eyes and leave it for 5-10 mins. Wash with cool water.

Cold water

Rinse your face with ice-cold water several times a day.  It will help in lessen swelling and constricts the blood vessel. It improves the blood circulation and thus the puffiness disappears quickly.
